You know, a similar situation happened to my parents when they had me. Apparentely when my mom was 4 months pregnant they did genetic work and found that I had an abnormality on my 22nd chromosome. At the time they weren't sure what that meant (being 25 years ago). They tested my parents and my father had the same thing, so they assumed i'd be fine (which i am, thankfully). I'm trying to start a family with my husband, however, and I'm so worried about the consequences of the abnormality (i'm not even sure what it is. something about have an extra little "piece"?) that i've contemplated going to a genetic councelor just to check things out. I do hope everything works out okay for you, however, and i'd appreciate any information anyone could send my way.
