Hi Rachel,
My name is Diana Rodriguez, i had a 7 month old baby, named Angelica, she passed away on 1-14-09, she had trisomy22 (emanuel syndrome). we started with a nasal gastric tube and then we were told that a G tube would be helpful and it was. It made things easier, the surgery is simple depending on which tube they place in. i recommend it if you child is having a hard feeding by a bottle but if she takes a bottle then just continue to feed her by bottle, you may have to continue to increase her calories. I hope this helps, feel free to keep in touch.
