It is true that women have a choice these days. However, I will say this, we are women here, we can all get nasty and say things that come across wrong. In my case, my feeling is that if a person is trying to become pregnant why would they then choose to terminate? What gives us the right to "judge" whether that innocent life is "good enough" to be brought into the world? After all the intent was "good enough" to try. We are not talking about people who made mistakes and got "knocked up" or about people who are themselves unable to manage daily needs, or teenage moms or any others that may fall into a "poor parent" (I believe there are exceptions to all and do not intend this to criticize anyone who may fall into one of the stereotyped groups I just listed)category...we are talking about people who want to become pregnant and be good parents. Most people that fall into this category want the child regardless. I don't expect everyone to agree with me, but, I love my children and I would choose to have them either way. When I found out I was a carrier for translocation I did have the tests done during pregnancy but only so that if there was a problem I could prepare for it and educate myself ahead of the birth. And discussion board or not, no one should put others down for their choice or make someone they don't even know question their choice...that's just wrong...this board is for support, not criticism!
