He is happy now. But how will he do when you pass away? A friend of mine works in a home for disabled adults. Most of them came into care after their parents died and nobody else would care for them. If I knew I was carrying a baby with a genetic disorder, I would probably choose for an abortion. Life is hard enough for non-disabled people, and it is even harder for those who are disabled.
