Ring 22 and potty training

Hi,
I am new to the site so bear with me My partner and I have a 7 yr old boy who has Ring 22. He doesn't say to many words and also we are trying to potty train him. Does anyone have any helpful hints or ideas on what we can do to make this process alittle eaiser on both us and Eric? He is going to be in the First grade this yr, part of the day in regular class and then the rest in a special class for children with special needs. Is there any hope in getting him potty trained??? Anything will be helpful.
