I have a brother born with trisomy 22 and he is now in 4th grade and to the outside world, he's doing just fine. He looks and acts just like the next kid.
: I have a cousin who is now 23 yrs old
: and is living with trisomy 22. He has
: exceeded all expectations of the
: doctors and no one really knows now
: how long he will live. He is a happy,
: healthy young man that carries a mail
: delivery job. There is hope for your
: daughter.

: i had a baby girl born with full
: trisomy
: 22 and she only lived 1 hour i have
: heard of children who have lived when
: i posted a message a women responded
: with this:
:
: From what I've read, your doctor is
: right about your child's prognosis.
: However, some trisomy 22 children have
: survived, so it's not entirely
: impossible that your child might live.
: One report of two trisomy 22 girls
: aged 6 and 8 is available here:

: I suggest you contact the support
: organisation for trisomy 18, 13 and
: similar conditions, who's website is
: http://www.trisomy.org/ . They are
: a
: support group for parents of babies
: with deadly chromosome disorders. I am
: sure this is a hard time for you, and
: since I have no idea what it's like to
: be in your situation, the best I can
: do is help you find people who
: understand
:
: here is the website again hope this
: helped.
