He was one of the biggest booking agents in Nashville at one time. Faron Young got him to move to Nashville many years ago from Texas. After Billy was in town a few days Faron asked him to be his manager.Billy Deaton passed away on November 31 2009.
A close friend to me for many years. Billy was one of the reasons I made it to Nashville and the man behind my album " Ride with Royalty" After recording the songs Billy ask me to name the album, I couldn't think of a name. So he said " you have worked with some of the best singers in this business" so we will name it. Ride with Royalty thus he came up with the name.
I am greatful for all Billy Deaton did for me in the music business and pray he rest in peace.
