Ghadames was bred by Pivero-Miro in Spain and raised by Major Pat and Joanna Maxwell at Lodge Stud Farm in England. He was not only a prolific sire but also British National Champion. Several of his get have been imported to the US some of which can be seen in the SZED Photo Albums. Ghadames was eventually sold to South America I believe but will check on it.He has been one of Jacio's best sons and was out of the mare Lopaz, Barich de Washoe's paternal grandam.
