since 1988 when he came to us from Australia after spending three breeding seasons there.
He is very much like *Barich, and he is out of *Zlabya, a truly great mare that is the only horse ever to have won her class at the Salon de Cheval two years in a row.
Destinado is now about 23 years old, and is still beautiful and fit. Although he is tall, he is not 16 hands. He is 15.2, and passes his wonderfully long forearm and gaskin length to his foals. Visitors to Chriswill Farm could always tell the Destinado foals in the pastures by their long legs.
I have two remaining *Barich daughters out of the exceptional mare Brumarbas Jewel, who was by Comar Bay Beau. They are unbelievably beautiful, grey, and have great foals. They are being bred to *Dakar el Jamal for next year along with three other Spanish mares we own.
I am currently breeding the excellent son of Destinado, CW Soxx, an elegant tall (15.2 in short hoofs), bay, four white socks, and a tremendous athlete. He is a favorite with the Sport Horse folks.
Also, our Destinado daughter CW Della, a full sister to Soxx was a triple US and Canadian Top Ten Western Pleasure horse before she was four years old. She is also very tall, with the height being in her legs. She is being bred to *Dakar also.
We are in Locust Dale, Virginia. I still stay in close touch with Bruce Clark, the breeder of Desatinado, whom I consider the best breeder of Arabian horses anywhere on this planet.
