Hey Everyone,
Some of our Kuskokwim Delta villages are on the verge of getting funded for Wind Turbine projects, article came out in the Anchorage Daily News this morning. We are concerned that the State Legislature may attempt to redirect the 100 million dollars available from the Alaska Energy Authority to fund other alternative energy projects around the state. This may help, if you and/or anyone you know from this area would like to help support this effort for our Delta villages, would please write support letters petitioning the Alaska State Legislature to follow through and fund our area’s Wind Turbine projects. The ADN article lists out the villages that are being proposed for funding. Send the letters/emails/faxes/phone calls to our area's Legislator, Bob Herron is our representative. As you know these projects are vital for addressing the energy crisis situation we are in right now here in the Delta with high energy costs. Here is a link to the ADN article. Quyana

Villages that are proposed for funding: Quinhagak, Kongiganak, Kwigillingok, Bethel, Tooksook, Nightmute, Mekoryuk and Tununak.
