why does it cost soo much for us to use fuel oil and gas? alaska is one of the richest in united states and here we are paying so much for everything; food & clothing, fuel oil and gas. billions of oil flow and also tons of tons of coal gets to united states and through out the country for use. timber and salmon are also one of the productive resources. BUT WHY DO WE PAY SOO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING? the only thing that each tribal goverment agencies and cities can do is to figure out a way to reduce these prices from alternative resources: from wind turbine, fish oil & used cooking for bio-fuel,from sun- geothermal or any other sources. i guess state of alaska have to work really hard to get these done.
