Kasigluk has 3 wind diesel turbines erected in 2006. It is posted that they will save 30 to 40,000 gallons of fuel each year. In 2007 diesel worth $72,000 was displaced by wind power. Power is also provided to Nupapitchuk and Akula hights from these three wind turbines. You can see more at http://www.avec.org/ . I'm not sure how much the residents save each month but it sure sounds like they save alot on diesel.
