Our Environmental Program is planning an Environmental Awareness fair towards the end of the school year, we want get the kids to think about the environment before summer rolls around. Now is the perfect time to have this fair, we are right in the middle of Umaiqtuq "whaling" here in Point Hope, and summer is just around the corner. Our kids play a very important part in keeping our whaling sites clean. Usaually they are in charge of trash runs back into town. I know we all are but our youth is even more so. We just want to inform and make our community aware that there are things we as individuals can do to help. I am asking for suggestions, or ideas that have been effective in your areas. Please share them with us, We are planning to have our fair on the 12th of May. Wish us luck.
