Last summer season impacted the walrus herd in an alarming situation! Haul-outs were done on beaches instead of ice! The ice receded so far off the coast of Alaska that they could not use ice for their means to haul out and feed from. This scenario will worsen if the ice sheet continues to recede, which I'm pretty sure will be the case! This isn't going to be good for other sea mammals and especially the Polar Bear.
