Environmental & Health Committee was formed under EPA/IGAP which addressed hazadous wastes. The E & H Comm. started a campaign through a community wide effort to utilize the City owned burner. Individuals were expected to pick-up special made containers from the City or the garage and drop off at location. Or, people would bring their vehicles to the garage and have the mechanic assist.5 days a week for community, and once a month for the AVEC plant and other businesses. E&H was disbanded in 2004 due to lack of funds. But the practice still continues.
