Welcome to the SWAN Village-to-Village Message Board.
How solid waste works in a Village is different from how it works in a City. So the best advice is usually from another Village. We talk to Villages for their experiences when we write SWAN fact sheets and tutorials. But here you can share directly with other Villages your questions, answers, and ideas related to solid, hazardous, and honeybucket wastes. You will be talking to everyone that uses our site. You can give help or ask for it.
If you have observations, answers, or questions related to climate change, (e.g. changes in weather, land, animals, and subsistence), mining, or Outside contaminants, go to AITC's new Nunat message board to post messages and read responses from Villages.
If you are new, you can read How to Use. If you need more help, contact Ray Paddock, SWAN Master, at rpaddock@ccthita.org or phone 1 (800) 344 1432.
See what others are talking about and Read the Messages.
Share your waste wisdom or problem and Post a Message.
Vote on important Village solid waste issues through our Polls.
Note: The views and opinions expressed on this message system do not necessarily reflect those of the Central Council Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska (CCTHITA). Posts with profanity, personal attacks, or links to inappropriate material will be removed.
