snow"
We got NOTHIN' -- except for a couple inches rain and the fringe winds blowin' outta 1600 Penn ave, if ya know what I mean. Pretty gusty at times, really bent the pines I trimmed the lower branches from over the last 12 mos but aint got to dropping yet cuz the log pile was in the way, but have been so busy getting the machines ready to hibernate and refurb-ing the sno blo for the DR that I haven't got to do the Paul Bunyan bit yet. Was a little concerned tho' since the heavy winds came from the SE and the house is downwind. East, west and south of us got hammered pretty hard. That mess in NYC should convince any sane person that the big cities aint nowhres to be. Little bro' in DE got soggified, but no heavy winds reported; girlkid out by Roy said lotsa rain but not a lot of wind. Still, we're better off than last year. Getting to where I can get my stuff sorted out and properly put away in a bunch better order than after our very disorderly and hasty move. Need a couple more "ME's" or about ten yr off the odometer. We weren't REAL concerned, having loaded up on petrol and water, and having our tolerable adequate storable comestibles to keep us going after the kW gobbler white box was emptied. Warm fuzzies, that. Wood stove has been in use off / on for past week. Snow above 1800 ft this necck of the woods. Sky says more possible. Just chkd forecast; says ice pellets up to 4 in midweek, tells me git off the puter and get stuff done. Good to hear no major "fallout" HERE.
