I have seen the price for a 50 lb bag of cracked corn go up 50% since last year, and that was without a drought - so go figure. I hate to see what it will be in the next few months from now. 
I just might switch my birds to wild bird seed as their "treat". However - I really depend on the corn during the colder months to help them generate more body heat. Loose loose it looks like. grrrrrrrrrrrrr
