Not only is BigAgra growing and selling us GMO crud, they're also putting the muscle on the smaller grower to chase them out of business. Reading the proliferating farm auction notices these days is worse than alarming; it pure scares the heck out of me.
Worse than the knowing that this nutritionally bankrupt "food" is being widely consumed is the NOT knowing what the overall long term effects of it will be. And factoring in the scarfing up by agribiz of the prime growing acreage leads to a pretty bleak outlook.
Grow your own while ya can. And support your local growers.
