You've gone done it now.
I turn on Alex Jones prog now and then to catch up on the latest re our fine increasingly intrusive guvvymints. currently he's been promoting a line of MINERAL SUPPLEMENTS -- which the OLD Prevention and Organic Gardening mags spoke highly of back in the '60s and '70s when you could still buy them without all the hype and "value added" nonsense.
Rodale constantly harped even back then about our mineral deficient soils and the nutritionally deficent produce/foods that are grown on them. The problem has of course got worse over the ddecades since. One answer -- for the gardener, at least -- is to return the minerals to the soil that our friends the trees have mined for us. Meaning that if ya don't spread your wood ashes on the garden (and don't fergit the composted leaves and twigs), you are wasting and nutritionally wanting.
Now, how to git that ashes barrel up to the garden....
