You have to grow your own food, or go out of your way to find a local organic farmer and buy there, or go through like a food co-op that offers organic. The fix is in with corporate agribiz, so all you can do is vote with your wallet or green thumb.
I can tell you right now from hanging around the wood cutters, all over the farm belt farmers are eeeking out every last freeking square inch of plantable ground for GMO franken ethanol corn. I know this because any number of guys are getting to cut fencelines, field edges and along ditches, taking everything. Whatever isn't being taken for firewood is getting bulldozed up and burned. This is all over in the "corn belt" areas and states, including yours.
