FISKARS RULES!!!
Sure doesn't seem like over a month ago I took the Zogman's recommendation to heart and ordered me a 'set" of them there Fiskars axes. I have since been busy for the last 2-3 weeks making smaller pieces out of log length ash, maple and oak with the occasional stick of what looks a lot like walnut or butternut.
Zogsumers Reports is right on the money on this one. I have split my share of wood and can vouch for what the zogman sez. It splits like no axe -- or maul -- ever did. Am gonna get me a backup X27 for that inevitable day when I might get absent minded and leave the one I got somewhere I fergitted.
