Yeah, it's somewhat romanticized- based on my Catholicism. But there's also a good deal to be said for owning one's own means of production even in modern times. Closest we have is the freelance computer programmer- who once he's paid off his machine and compiler, can continue making software for a couple of years before needing to upgrade.
