I read some of your posts on distributism, but I can't help wondering if you have an overly romantic view of situation of common man in middle and dark ages. Being a peasant working the fields as essentially a slave having baron/lord being able to maim or kill me at a whim, or to rape my wife or daughters, has no appeal to me.
