Here is a link to a long documentary on the globalization of the food supply, centered around one company and biotechnology, patents and chemicals. You'll see how your food supply will be threatened eventually as it becomes harder and harder to maintain your own supplies.

It's one thing to read about this stuff, but seeing how this really works out gives a much better "bottom line" overview and feeling for the situation. They go around the world and really look at what happens to people who get this force addicted on them through high pressure lobbying and some other shady techniques, from the most modern and highest tech US midwestern farms all the way to villagers in India and Mexico and south America. A decent vid that helps to debunk some of the rather questionable alleged benefits behind this tech today.
