The U.S. Census Bureau will be using only the "short form" census for 2010 (count, name, sex, age, date of birth, race, ethnicity, relationship and housing tenure). Many people only do the count/name part.
However, they also EVERY YEAR send an ACS to a portion of the populace and to residents of Puerto Rico, the American Community Survey. Response is required by law!
