Not just all the transmitted AC power, but everything, all the electronic stuff, the billions of devices and gadgets, that run from that AC power? How about all the telco stuff that is connected to very long suspended wires that can act as antenna? Even if the grid can balance and maybe stay up, what happens if we lose a huge amount of the infrastructure that uses all that power? Or is that not likely either? I really don't know, but have been under the assumption that a lot of things are not shielded and would malfunction.
