Goofing off...
had bee gurl and her Mom over for dinner - stuffed peppers w/coconut custard pie for desert. 
bee brought over our C'mass present "early". Caught a truck just as they were unloadinging some beeeeeeeeeeuteeeeeeeeful potted fig bushes/trees and snagged two for us. I am one happy camper!!! 
We exchanged some food goods...gave her some cans of turnip greens - YUCK! - and some canned salmon - another - YUCK. Gave her Mom some frozen venison stew meat - she was tickled pink to get. Got some grapefruit and mato juice, a canned ham and some fresh winter squashes AND a replacement lid for one of my favorite almost antique pyrex baking bowl. Ya know? That perfect 1 1/2 qt size for making baked custard?
Sure is NICE to have some like minded friends nearby!
