Not a real scientific experiment, I didn't have a control batch, but I tried adding some colloidal silver from a fresh batch to some nasty old curdling milk and then let it sit at room temp (out in the barn, them wild cats over there get my old milk). Two days now and it lost most of the bad smell to it. Tomorrow it will be gone though, one way or the other, some of those old tomcats are some *really* hungry dudes, they are sorta big. I'd love to weigh two of them they are so *large*, but I appreciate having my skin intanct more
.
I don't think I could catch them anyway. those live traps are good for *one* time, then they get smart about them.
They get tore up from fighting once in awhile (they'll go months and live in peace, there are no unspayed females anymore, that seemed to shut down the bulk of the fighting, but they still go macho nuts for some other reason for like two days and hiss and spit and claw and wrestle around, inevitably they get cut up some) so I dose them with CS as an antibiotic. Normally I just pour a few ounces in their water bowl, this time I thought I'd try it in the turning sour milk. I am not sure it stopped the curdling, but it sure seems to have slowed it down a lot.
