TOWN CONSIDERS IMPOSING CURFEW ON ALL OF IT'S CITIZENS.
Remember what I've told you about the government telling you it's doing something "for the public good." It's never a good idea.
Now there's a city in New Jersey that's considering putting a curfew in effect for ALL of its citizens.
And you thought Obama was big on government control.
In an attempt to put an end to a violent crime spree, the officials of Paterson, New Jersey are proposing a two-month long, midnight to 7 am curfew, banning people of all ages from loitering outside. Police-enforced curfews are usually put in place for minors under the age of 18 – this would be the first curfew in the nation imposed on adults.
The curfew still has some hoops to jump through at the municipal level before it's put in place -- but the precedent terrifies me. Think about it: rather than going after criminals, this curfew would deem the entire city of Paterson guilty for seven hours of each day.
In an age when big government seems to grow bigger each day, you can be sure that if such a curfew is enacted in one town, more are sure to follow suit.

(I had a great scenario and dialogue for here, but deleted it. What's the use?)
