civilization, there is no fuel even if
you have a pickup, and no LBS to repair
bikes, and fix flats you might like a
heavy duty bicycle. Loading gear on
your bike and pushing it is so much
better than no way to haul anything.
You will have to push uphill but can
ride on level and coast downhill.
Worksman bikes have steel frames, steel
wheels and 11 gage (0.120" dia) spokes.
You are unlikely to break them.
