We here in the US have to pay for all of this, but the big 0 says that requiring other nations to do similar would be "protectionist" and he doesn't want to go there.

Uhh..hmmmm...I sorta thought the entire idea of a government WAS to protect the people inside said government. Ya know, the actual real citizens here.. I didn't know we were voting on a president who wanted to protect the economies of some other nations ahead of the US (well... I did know that of course, that's why I voted for neither obama nor mccain, I consider them both to be globalists and pretty much anti USA... just sayin...) And where's the science? all this crap is beiong pushed because OMG IF WE DON'T HAVE AN EXPENSIVE WAR ON CARBON WE R DOOOOOOMED!!"
Well, seems them other nations atmosphere is connected to our own, the air does cross boundaries, so by letting them have a free skate, they get to burn as much nasty coal as they want to, result, their manufacturing works, ours gets screwed more, the same amount of evile co2 gets released as before-globally, the total- just the US middle class gets to pay for it all, the "badness part"- while everyone else gets PAID to still pollute. Really, where's the science there? There is none, which PROVES this is all a big BS power and money grab, that's it. As soon as they said we would have to have a co2 cap and trade deal I KNEW it was way more scam than hard science. If they were *really* concerned about the environment they would insist on "caps" everywhere, with severe economic sanctions for anyplace that didn't go along with it, but they aren't, so there ya go.
Anyway, unless you are "protectionist" for your own self and family, you will get *screwed*, because it's a cinch that the government certainly doesn't care.
And part of being protectionist is WATCH OUT for storing all your wealth in their crap liar's paper, which is all FRNs and government bills and bonds are now, most stocks, too.. liar's paper, IOUs,(actually they are U O Them's... a new acronym I have invented, UOT...) backed by nothing except promises of YOUR future labor for..someone, some fatcats someplace. You owe some rich guys all this money and work now..because the government (the puppets that the fatcats control and use for legitimacy and armed mscle/force) owns you and your labor, they can future sell it off for cheap. They'll suck you in with their stocks and the greater fool theory, and yank the rug out from under you, again, and again, and again. That's how they make "profit", they aren't in the business of making YOU profit now, are they?

Fairest of warnings, I have been calling this before it happens for some years now, a long time, I have been right, all the wall street goofballs (mostly, a few contrarian bears got it right) have been wrong and been caught either lowballing stuff or just outright lying, you have been sold down the river and they will finalize the total fleecing shortly.
Anything that's good for any nation *but* the US or big globalist investment bankers profits (the wall street/city of london/china axis, they love that nation and political/social setup, wallstreet digs on that two class society where corporations are the government and the military all at once, and they call the shots), that's the full function of our so called representative republic government now. The rest of their rhetoric being "for the people" is pure garden fertilizer.
The only "people" they work for are the bilderberger like goons and the PRC generals, and that's it, the rest is political soap opera and acting and lying. ESPECIALLY that "two party" system which sole purpose now is to keep all the ripped off serfs squabbling with each other INSTEAD of looking a little further upstream to where all the real problems start.
Every single thing they do is designed to strip wealth and what remains of any freedom or political power that has been built up inside the US middle class. They aren't doing a single dang thing that is going to really help you, it is just going to cost you..a lot. They'll throw you a bone and steal your steak and call it a good deal for you.
