Any restrictions of what articles may be placed upon the approved lawn? Cointainers, as in veggies and flowers in pots?
There's ways around restrictions. One of THE coolest and funniest dodges I ever saw was a friend of mine who wanted a big security fence around his property, partly because of his vehicle collection. If it can be seen from the road and isn't registered and insured, it is illegal. Not seen, cool.. So he wanted this fence, but they wouldn't give him a permit. This is intown in Decatur Georgia, close by attached 'burb to Atlanta (home to the CDC and Emory university and so on, medium upscale in most areas, I lived pretty close to there before we moved here to north Georgia). So, local ordinance is no fences over 4 feet, with 50% opening, slat fences or decorative mesh only. BUT, little in the way of landscaping restrictions.
So this guy arranges for truckload after truckload after truckload of woodchip *mulch*! That's the keyword there, mulch is legal, but they never specified how much, how deep or anything else, just "mulched beds are legal landscaping". He just has them keep dumping these loads then all on his property completely around the joint, like well over 6 feet high, linear little mountains, with a zig zag shaped driveway, basically a decent dogleg. Then he threw some bags of grass seed on it and it sprouted and looked green. "Landscaping". MAN the neighbors and city were steamed, but he beat them in court! MUAHAHAHAHAHA! Dang coolest intown yard ever, a little fort!
