I know that they've been talking about the Future Gen thing for a long time. One thing about it....Illinois still has a lot of coal underground and ideally it could be used for the process. Texas has oil, but I don't know that it has much coal.
In the meantime, this area has been in recession for the last years because of 90% of the coal mines closing, so we hardly even notice the depression everyone is concerned about. When anyone talks about creating jobs anywhere in the middle or southern part of Illinois, people here get excited.
