I was in the office at the computer and the dog started going nuts and barking for me to come outside. She was looking to the north towards threatening clouds and almost constant lightning. Then the tornado sirens went off. Turned on the tv and watched the radar (felt like deja vu). The meteorologist said that there had been around 3,000 lighting bolts just north of us in the last 5 minutes and it was heading towards us.
We got hit with 60-70 mph winds this time (compared to 100-125 mph May 8) and our power went out for about 3 hours. Although we didn't lose any more trees on our property, we have branches all over the ground and the house is okay. Haven't even got all last month's damage all cleared. A lot of people are in the same boat. A few trees came down this time, but nothing like May 8. There are probably still hundreds of people with roof damage that hasn't been fixed from the last storm and now this.
Anyhoo, we are okay and were prepared in case the power went off again.
And you know what yesterday's date was? June 8. I sure hope July 8 doesn't have another one of these in store for us.
