Yes, Ralph, that article includes info about us here. Only one death here as far as we know, but a lot of injuries.
They are hoping to get power restored to all of us by Tuesday night, IF there are no more bad storms, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if that happens. They have a lot of people working on it and so far, most people are helping each other and working together, as is usually the case here.
Yep, they do forget until something hits them in the face like this. Since we also live in earthquake country, we are periodically warned about having emergency supplies and plans, but many don't pay attention, especially the young people.
