just think, with WHO deal Baxter gets any particularly virulent mutations of this virus too.
Suppose there was a far-fetched Tom Clancy-like novel, big pharmy company decides on a new profit improvement program. Engineer a new flu virus from parts of old, to which human has never had exposure. Release into wild, as aerosol in bus terminal or sports stadium in global tourist destination. World becomes their giant petri dish, grease skids with WHO and they become your trusty lab assistant to collect and send you the nasty mutations. Make a batch of the really bad stuff, make a half-baked ineffective vaccine, and tens of billions of dollars in profits come in. And a batch real vaccine becomes mighty leverage on powers that be.
