while we have lots of soap and buy in bulk, thought about what happens if water supply cuts off, a load of disposable wipes is on the shopping list.
I just tried the oil of oregano last month because of terrible cold going around (don't know about using it during flu yet) , worked very well indeed, for me severity was reduced to very slight congestion while rest of family and friends who were watching me as guinea pig were hacking their lungs out. Expensive stuff, $20 for a very small bottle already mixed with olive oil, five drops a day did the trick.
For me a cold starts with sore throat, zinc lozenges quickly makes that go away, usually in less than a day. But it doesn't seem to work on the cold going anyway else.
saw special on TV once where they measured bacteria count (but not viruses) on shopping cart handles in stores, off the end of the scale, the bowl of a used public toilet is cleaner! always good to wash hands after touching those, and during a pandemic I couldn't imagine NOT using rubber gloves when in stores and public buildings, trains. during a pandemic. It's the small drops of body fluids in air and on surfaces that spread the virus.
