Posted by SPW on 8/15/2006, 2:00 am Dark Match: Wage Richon defeated Cosmic River and Outlaw in a Three Way in 9:13 All three of these men are regulars for Portland Wrestling (as are a good percentage of the SPW roster) and they made the drive to Sacramento in hope of impressing the SPW promoter and earning a regular spot on the shows. Wage is a giant, muscle bound guy, Outlaw was a big buff cowboy, and Cosmic River was a... masked hippie. The three guys had a solid match that started slow and built towards the end. The official show started off with the Trendsetter Adam Thornstowe introducing Big Ugly's mystery opponent for the evening.... Malachi. First Match: The Big Ugly defeated Malachi via Submission in 9:34 This was Malachi's first appearance in some time and he is still a monster. They just attacked each other from the start. Ugly got the win with a modified Anklelock. Ugly brought out his mystery opponent for the Rock Legend Scum.... Old School Oliver John. Second Match: Rock Legend Scum Adam Thornstowe defeated Old School Oliver John in 8:38 The crowd erupted when Old School was introduced and was hot for the entire match. Moments into it the two found themselves brawling at ringside and both took all sorts of abuse, including Old School jumping off the stage and hitting Adam with a big elbow on the floor. The end of the match saw Old School repeatedly hit Adam with Lyger Drivers. On the last one Adam went over his head, rolled him up for a two. Old School went for the DVD but Adam again rolled through, grabbed a handful of tights and got the win. Third Match: Buh Buh Blanchard defeated Brian Cage in 9:34 Buh Buh is one of the top stars of Portland Wrestling and is a former SPW Trios Champion. Brian is one of the top up and comers in California wrestling. Blachard never missed an opportunity to take a short cut, choking and racking the eyes whenever possible. And yet he seemed more distracted by the ref than anything. Buh Buh got the win with an Oklahoma Roll and a handful of tights. Fourth Match: Rik Luxury pinned X-Cal in a six way challenge that included El Hijo De Chupacabra, Virgil Flynn, Steel, and Money Mike Rayne to retain the Extreme Title in 12:29 X-Cal is a wrestler out of Oklahoma that was touring the West Coast. Very similar to TNA wrestler Low Ki in appearance. This match was insane. Started off with Steel and Mike Rayne going at it. X Cal and Hijo came in next. And the opening round of action wrapped up with Virgil and Luxury going at it. Virgil was, by far, the most popular guy in the match. From there a chicken fight broke up with Hijo on Rayne's shoulders and X Cal on Steels. Virgil hit a spring board drop kick on the guys on top and then Rik came in and tried to pin pretty much everybody. Soon everybody was flying over the top rope onto everybody else. Rik was able to catch X Cal for the pin and thus kept his title. Not only was this match of the night, but it may be the top match in Nor Cal of the Summer. Fifth Match: Trent Hemridge defeated Sir Samurai in 3:25 Samurai came out and complained about how the Rejected always cheats. He then kicked Trent in the testicals. Trent soon recovered and destroyed Samurai, hitting him with a German, a Samoan Drop, and a modified Spinebuster from the Shoulder. The rest of the Honor Society ran in and The British Messiah tossed a baking pan to Samurai, but Trent caught it and knocked Samurai out, leading to the pin. Sixth Match: The Suburban Commandos and Seito Hayashi (w/Kassy Summers) defeated Vennis DeMarco, Vinny Massaro, and El Flaco Loco in 13:40 Vennis's traditional partner, Chris Corlioni, was wrestling in South Africa and did not make it back in time. So Vinny and Vennis brought in El Flaco Loco as their partner. Flaco had been avoiding SPW until his 90 Microphone Suspension was up, which it now is. Vennis and Hayashi started things off. This was a fast paced six man tag match. Vennis, Vinny, and Flaco took turns working over Hayashi for awhile. Hayashi finally dove over the top rope into all three of his opponents. D-Unit picked up DJ Rizz and tossed him out of the ring onto everybody else. Vinny grabbed Kassy Summers and hit her with the b###h Slap. Hayashi grabbed a chair and chased Vinny to the back. D-Unit and Rizz hit Vennis with their double team move for the win. Seventh Match: The Honor Society (The British Messiah Timothy Thatcher and Mr. Frost w/Stokaroshi) defeated the Rejected (Shane Dynasty and Luster the Legend) via DQ to retain the tag team titles in 11:51 Before the start of the match Shane Dynasty ripped on Shannon Moore (of ECW) and Sir Samurai (claming that Samurai idolized him). The finish of the match saw Thatcher and Mr. Frost hit their Yakuza/Side Russian move on Luster. Samurai came to the ring with the baking pan and Thatcher held Luster for him, but Luster ducked and Samurai knocked Timothy out. Luster made the cover but the ref saw the pan and assumed Luster had used it so he DQed the Rejected. They responded by hitting the ref with the Rejected Doomsday Device. Main Event: Rock Legend Scum Adam Thornstowe defeated the Big Ugly JD Bishop in a Submission Only match, which was match 4 of the Supreme Seven Series in 10:51 At the start of the match Ugly explained that he was tired of being the nice guy, friends with the fans, the hero. Adam responded by telling him that it was only because of the fans tht Ugly and Adam and everybody had a job and that SPW existed so Ugly could kiss his ass. Immediately the match spilled from the ring and Adam lit Ugly up with chops. Back in the ring Adam and Ugly continued to go back and forth. Adam locked on a modified Regal Regal Stretch, but Ugly got out. Adam hit a really nice doule foot stomp, but Ugly rolled from the ring before Adam could lock anything on. Adam followed him and put him into a Boston Crab on the floor. Ugly got out and locked on an Anklelock (still on the floor). Adam escaped back into the ring... where Ugly punched him in the... butthole (yes, Dante was in the crowd). Ugly locked on the Anklelock again, but Adam countered it to a triangle lock. Ugly tapped out. After the match Ugly again locked on the Anklelock and tried to break Adam's ankle. Ugly refused to break the hold and the entire locker room came out and tried to seperate them. Finally, with no other options the bottom rope was removed from the ring and the two men were carried to the locker room with Ugly still holding Adam in the Anklelock. SPW returns to action in the middle of September with another Punkslam show in Petaluma on September 16 featuring Punkslam Champion Sir Samurai vs Shane Dynasty in a title match and the next day SPW returns to Sacramento, at St. Peter's Hall with a main event of Adam Thornstowe vs the Big Ugly in Match Five of the Supreme Seven Series, which will be a Pandora's Box Match.
