SPW on the Road 6/11/06

This last week Cauliflower Alley held it's annual convention and training seminar in Las Vegas, Nevada. The training took place on Thursday and Friday and the best of the best were picked from the 75 or so people taking part and wrestled a show at the Plaza in Las Vegas on Nevada. Training was handled by Legends Les Thatcher and Scott Casey and they were aided by APW's Robert Thompson (who seemed really interested in getting Virgil Flynn to jump to APW). Other legends like Ross Hart (of the Hart family), Killer Tim Brooks, and Eddie Sharky also offered advice to the wrestlers taking part in the training. We are proud to say that two of the SPW wrestlers in attendence were picked to be on the show. First there was rookie of the year for 2005, Virgil Flynn, who took on a Colorado wrestler named Paul Diamond in what many legends called "match of the night." Also picked was Bonzai Bruce Bukkake, who flew in from Missori (where he is now training at Harley Race's school) to take part and was seen proudly wearing his SPW shirt each day at training. Bruce wrestled in a four way match with wrestlers Jack Manly, Funnybone, and one other who's name escapes me. Also taking part in the training, but not picked for the show, were Honor Society members Sir Samurai, the British Messiah Timothy Thatcher, and Mr. Frost. Plus NAW's Money Mike Rayne and Nor Cal regular Jason Vega.
