Posted by SPW on 3/13/2006, 9:22 am Historic Colonial Theatre The show started off with Randy the Commissioner introducing SPW's new ring announcer, Anthony, who works for Kovars Martial Arts. Kovar's and Supreme Pro Wrestling are now going to be working together to cross promote. By the way, if you have not been to a Colonial show in awhile, they are stripped down versions of SPW shows, with lots more singles matches and a lot less mic time. First Match: Jesus "the Brownsnake" Kruze defeated Steel and thus Steel retains the B.U.T.T. Championship Steel and the BUTT strap have developed an interesting relationship as he talked to the belt the entire way to the ring and argued with it for the entire match. In fact after Jesus escaped from an STF Steel started yelling at the belt, which allowed Jesus to roll him up for the win. Second Match: Money Mike Rayne (w/ Otis) defeated Ryan Drago This match was an interesting clash of styles as Drago is versed in the Japanese strong style.... and Rayne thinks he is a pimp. Otis attempted to get involved, but Drago countered by putting him in an armbar. But this allowed Rayne to hit a spring board leg drop and take over. The end of the match saw Otis hit Drago with his cane, which allowed Rayne to hit the Money Kick for the pin (Otis also held Drago's feet down during the pin). Third Match: Pogo 2000 defeated Jason Vega Jason really worked his butt off in this one, trying to take the much bigger man down and trying to keep him down. Once Jason did take him down he through a series of drop kicks to the head and a couple of elbow drops. But no matter what he hit Pogo with, he could not keep him down. Once Pogo took charge it was all but over for Jason. He did duck a clothesline and hit a drop kick, but when he went for a Hurricarana, Pogo caught him and nailed him with a powerbomb for the win. Fourth Match: Rik Luxury defeated Seito Hayashi (w/ Kassy Summers) Hayashi quickly got into Rik's head so Rik bailed from the ring to regroup. Rik returned to the ring, quickly got Father Nelsoned, and bailed again. Returning to the ring Rik quickly took over and kept Hayashi grounded. Hayashi fought back, but missed a HUGE Moonsault, which put Rik back in control. Rik hit a really nice roll up as a counter to a hip toss to get the win. Fifth Match: El Hijo De Chupacabra defeated Sir Samurai (w/ the Honor Society) via a DQ During the entrance the new ring announcer messed up Timothy's last name, calling him scratcher. From the moment Samurai came out he was clearly worried about the Shocker. Within the first couple minutes Hijo slid from the ring and hit both Mr. Frost and Timothy Thatcher with it. .Samurai followed Hijo out of the ring and attacked him from behind. Moments later Hijo nailed Samurai with the Shocker and Samurai climbed to the top to escape, where El Hijo hit him with the Death From Above (one man Spanish Fly). As soon as he hit it Thatcher and Frost attacked him and the ref DQed Samurai. Frost and Thatcher kept beating on him until the Big Ugly JD Bishop and Virgil Flynn charged out. Ugly challenged the Honor Society to a Trios match. Sixth Match: The Big Ugly, Virgil Flynn, and El Hijo De Chupacabra defeated the Honor Society Thatcher and Ugly started things off and went hold for hold for awhile. Ugly brought in El Hijo to work Timothy over and Hijo got a nice pop from the crowd when he hit his hiptoss, cartwheel, drop kick combination. After awhile Virgil hit Frost with the Suwa Kick, followed by Phoenix Splash, but amazingly Frost kicked out. Virgil went up again and El Flaco Loco charged out and attacked him. Ugly and Hijo hit Thatcher with the Bad Lands Slam to get the win. Seventh Match: Bonzai Bruce Bukkake defeated DJ Rizz to retain the Extreme Title This was the first ever singles meeting between the two men. They started off trading holds with neither man able to get an advantage. After about five minutes the action spilled outside the ring for a bit and Bruce was able to take over. Rizz was able to get back on top and went for a springboard double footstomp, but missed, but followed that up with a standing moonsault. He followed that up with a Gory Bomb. Bruce got the win with a nice Springboard Moonsault. Main Event: El Flaco Loco defeated D-Unit This was Flaco's first appearance at the Colonial since turning his back on his fans and the reception was less than warm. Whenever D-Unit would get momentum Flaco would slow things down. D Unit hit Flaco with a sick Samoan Drop, apparently injuring Flaco's shoulder. He also hit a really nice Gorilla Press Slam. Flaco cut Unit off by going after his knee. The match ended when D came over the top rope and hit a Sunset Flip on Flaco, but Flaco grabbed the ropes and sat down, getting the pin. After the match Virgil Flynn charged out with a chair and chased Flaco from the ring. Flaco offered to skip the 6 Year Anniversary Show and do his match with Virgil right then and there with D-Unit as the ref. When both Virgil and Unit agreed Flaco left instead. Rizz came out and the show ended with Rizz, Unit, the ref, and Virgil dancing in the ring. SPW returns to the Historic Colonial Theatre on March 25 and remember that the 6 Year Anniversary Weekend is April 29th and 30th.
