Posted by SPW on 3/6/2006, 9:38 am St. Peter's Hall Just prior to the start of the show Steel wondered to the ring, talking to the BUTT Title. He seemed lost and confused. After awhile Trent Hemridge came out and Steel attacked him. Steel beat on Trent for a bit and a ref made his way to the ring. First Match: BUTT TITLE MATCH: Trent Hemridge defeated Steel and thus Steel retained the title. Steel completly dominated the match and kept screaming at Trent to "take the belt." Amazingly Trent snuke in the win and thus Steel left with the belt, again. The Trendsetter Adam Thornstowe came to the ring and talked about how the main event was scheduled to be an SPW Heavyweight Title match between himself and Old School Oliver John. Oliver John did not make it to the show, but Adam was there to wrestle so he issued an open challenge.... which was answered by Kenny K. Second Match: Trendsetter Adam Thornstowe defeated Kenny K Though Kenny was the opponent Adam acted as though it was Oliver John he was facing in the ring. They started off exchanging holds for a bit and the crowd was solidly behind Kenny, in what was the biggest match of his life so far. Kenny hit a nice Hurricarana and worked on Adam's arm for a bit. Adam cut Kenny off, clotheslining him out of his boots and from that point on Adam just kept beating on him. Adam hit a sick double foot stomp off the top, but lifted Kenny out of the pin. Adam then hit Oliver's DVD for the win. Adam kept beating on Kenny until Seito Hayashi and Virgil Flynn made the save. Finally the Big Ugly came out and Adam took off. Third Match: The Suburban Commandos defeated the Blanchards For newer fans, the Blanchards are one of the top teams in Oregon and were the final men to hold the SPW Trios Titles. The match started slow with the two teams feeling each other out. Bubba and D-Unit went for a bit, trading bodyslams. After Bubba got hit with one he crawled to his corner to tag in Jeremy. D-Unit brought in Rizz. The Blanchards took over and beat on Rizz for awhile, really focusing on his arm. Rizz finally cut them off hitting Jeremy with a Huricarana..... but then he missed a clothesline and the Blanchards continued to dominate. D-Unit finally tagged in and he and Rizz hit their patented double team on Jeremy to get the win. Fourth Match A: El Hijo De Chupacabra defeated Rik Luxury via a DQ As El Hijo made his way to the ring Rik followed him out and attacked him and they fought at ringside for a bit before the match actually started. Hijo quickly took over and for the next three minutes or so he hit everything imaginable, proving he is one of the most innovative wrestlers in Nor Cal today. Rik grew frustered and out of the blue hit Hijo with the ring bell for the DQ. This brought Commissioner Randy out, who said he paid Rik to wrestle, not hit people with ring bells. El Hijo was unable to continue to Randy brought out Ryan Drago to wrestle Rik. Fourth Match B: Rik Luxury defeated Ryan Drago Just the night before Drago wrestled for the EWE group in Florida, making him the winner of who traveled the farthest to wrestle award. Rik and Ryan traded holds for a bit. Ryan went to work on Rik's left leg. Rik countered and the two traded moves for awhile, with Drago hitting a nice Fisherman's Buster. Rik hit a sick top rope leg drop for the win (by far the best in the business right now). The Honor Society made their way to the ring. Samurai said that he arranged for the ban on Ugly to be lifted for one night and that he would get the ban lifted for good.... all Ugly had to do was defeat all the members of the Honor Society in a Gauntlet match. Fifth Match: The Honor Society defeated the Big Ugly JD Bishop in a Gaunlet Match Stokaroshi started things off and did a very nice blue belt level kata to warm up, when he was done Ugly hit him with a Big Lariat and pinned him. The British Messiah Timothy Thatcher slid into the ring. Timothy slowed things down for a bit, doing a bit of the British catch as catch can wrestling with Ugly. Timothy hit the Hot Carl , but Ugly was able to kick out. Timothy went for it again, but Ugly countered and took over finally bending Timothy's left leg in a very wrong way and Timothy had no choice but to tap out. Big Mr. Frost entered the ring and immediatly attacked Ugly. Frost hit a nice Double Underhook Suplex on Ugly and worked him over in a corner. Right after Ugly pinned Frost, Samurai did something he has never done before... he climbed to the top rope and hit a cross body onto Ugly (a very ugly cross body, but still). Ugly kicked out. The two traded knife edge chops until Ugly spit in Samurai's face. Ugly ran off the ropes and Frost pulled him from the ring. Samurai then did something else he has never done in SPW and hit a plancha over the top onto Ugly (see everbody is kicking it up a notch as SPW gets closer to the 6 Year Anniversary show). Back in the ring Ugly locked on a Figure 4 Leglock and all the Honor Society tried to get into the ring, which distracted the ref. The Trendsetter Adam Thornstowe ran out and hit a double footstomp off the top onto Ugly (this move looks sick every time Adam does it). This allowed Samurai to pin Ugly and this was his final night at St. Peters. Money Mike Rayne came out and introduced his enforcer.... Otis Platinum. Rayne issues an open challenge... and it gets answered by Seito Hayashi. Sixth Match: Seito Hayashi (w/ Kassy Summers) defeated Money Mike Rayne (w/ Otis) Early in the match Hayashi locked on the Father Nelson (a submission hold that has to be seen to be believed). Rayne rolled out of the ring after the move... and Otis rolled into the ring, asking to be put into the move (gross). This distraction allowed Rayne to take over. Rayne dominated for awhile and fed Hayashi to Otis. Kassy tried to get involved to save Hayashi, but the ref cut her off. Rayne grabbed his cane, but Kassy grabbed it and they played tug of war. Hayashi rolled the distracted Rayne up for the win. Seventh Match: Pogo the Clown defeated Luster the Legend (w/ Trent Hemridge) via a DQ This was a classic battle of the two biggest men in SPW, if not all of Nor Cal. They traded blows for a bit until Pogo tossed Luster from the ring. The match continued a little longer until Luster grabbed a chain and got DQed for choking Pogo with it. Eighth Match: Virgil Flynn defeated Vennis DeMarco (w/John LaRocca) via DQ Virgil has been struggling to find his space on the roster ever since being named Rookie of the Year for Nor Cal last year. Vennis, on the other hand, has quickly found himself one of the most hated men on the SPW roster. Virgil was at a distinct size advantage going into this match, but he showed early that his speed was unmatched. Virgil hit a nice drop kick in the corner, but got distracted by LaRocca, which allowed Vennis to take over. Vennis beat Virgil down for a bit, having his way with him. Virgil took over and hit an amazing springboard drop kick. He hit Vennis with a nice Moonsault... and El Flaco Loco charged out and attacked him. Vennis and LaRocca walked away as Flaco destroyed Virgil. Flaco explained that it was because of the fans that Dante was gone. Because of the fans that Oliver John was not there. That the fans were forcing the wrestlers to kill themselves and Flaco is tired of it. He is going to make an example of Virgil at the SPW Anniversary weekend. Randy the Commissioner came out and said that he wanted to do something special... something that has never been done in Pro Wrestling before. He introduced his latest brain child.... the Braveheart Battle Royal. He had the fans clear their chairs and back away from the ring. He explained that in this match there would be two team captains who would pick teams from the roster. The two teams would line up at opposite ends of the building at the bell they would charge to the ring and have a battle royal. The last man still standing in the ring would get to put together a match for the 6 Year Anniversary Show weekend. His two captains.... Sir Samurai and the Big Ugly JD Bishop. Samurai protested that Ugly was not allowed in the building any longer, and Randy pointed out that he was banned after the show ended. Ugly picked Seito Hayashi, Kassy Summers, Otis, Mike Rayne, Virgil Flynn, Kenny K, DJ Rizz, and D-Unit. Samurai picked Adam Thornstowe, Rik Luxury, Timothy Hatcher, Mr. Frost, Jesus Kruze, and Trent Hemridge. Main Event: The Big Ugly JD Bishop won the first ever (anywhere) Braveheart Battle Royal. Right as it started El Flaco Loco charged out and attacked Virgil, pulling him from the ring. They fought to the back. Samurai, being Samurai, went after Kassy from the start. Ugly quickly tossed Adam out. When Steel got eliminated he tried to escape for the belt... but a ref brought it to him. The final four were Ugly, Samurai, Luster and Jesus Kruze. Ugly got the win. He talked about the various matches he could do at the Anniversary show..... but decided on a Hair vs Hair match against Sir Samurai.
