Posted by SPW on 2/13/2006, 10:58 am Dark Match: Stokaroshi defeated Brian Cage Nice start to the show as the crowd really hated Stokaroshi, and had no trouble siding with new comer Brian Cage (who comes from the MWF group in Chico, Ca). Cage got a lot of nice offense in early, but Stokaroshi was able to take over and get the win with a handful of tights. El Flaco Loco came to the ring and brought out Dante, who was retiring due to injury. They ended up being joined by the rest of the roster as well. Flaco, on behalf of the owners of SPW presented Dante with a brand new electric guitar so that Dante could following his other dream, of being a musician. Dante was also given the chance to put together one match for the evening and he went with Old School Oliver John vs the Trendsetter Adam Thornstowe for the SPW Title. On behalf of me.... thanks Dante, for everything. First Match: Ridiculous Mike Rayne defeated Otis When will wrestlers learn that wrestling Otis is not like wrestling anybody else? He enjoys go behinds... as Rayne learned early in the match. Rayne tried another approach and just started hitting Otis.... but that did not work either. Otis more or less had his way with Rayne. Rayne finally took over and slapped on a submission hold, but Otis enjoyed it. Rayne hit a couple of Superkicks in a row for the win. After the match Mike Rayne cut a promo thanking Dante for everything he has done. Second Match: The Suburban Commandos defeated The Honor Society (with Sir Samurai and Stokaroshi) Thatcher and Rizz started things off and went hold for hold with Thatcher bringing his British styling into play, to nice affect. So Rizz brought in D, who was able to take Thatcher down a peg. Thatcher brought in Mr Frost, the big man of the Honor Society and he attacked D from behind and stayed on him for awhile.D took over on Thatcher, hitting a nice springboard Bulldog. Honor Society took over by tripping Rizz and pulling him from the ring while Thatcher kept the ref distracted. Finally Thatcher and Frost went for the Death Before Dishonor, but Rizz anticipated it and clotheslined Timothy, allowing the Commandos to take over, leading to a double team by them on Timothy, which gave the Commandos the win. After the match Jesus and Beto Kruze made their return, attacking the Commandos with hubcaps. Third Match: Tito Aquino and Trent Hemridge defeated Kenny K and Kryptonite This was Krypto's first appearance for SPW since last year's anniversary show. I understand that Tito is not with the Rejected, he was simply a hired gun for the evening. Krypto and Tito started things off. According to the fans, Tito swallows. The two went back and forth for a bit and brought in Kenny and Trent. Kenny immediatley started flying around the ring and hit move after move on the bigger Trent. He hit a sick standing moonsault into a double knee drop. Tito came in and took over and Kenny for a bit. Trent got the pin on Kenny K, cleanly. Fourth Match: El Flaco Loco defeated Vennis DeMarco with Johnny LaRocca Though Vennis is still a new comer in SPW, the fans most certainly know that they don't like him. Evidently, according to the crowd, Vennis is a virgin. The crowd also wanted to know where their pizza was. Flaco, to get into Vennis' head kept trying to get Vennis to wrestle "lucha style." Flaco went for the Mafia Lock early, but Vennis made it to the ropes before it was locked on. Flaco kept the upper hand until LaRocca distracted him, allowing Vennis to take over. Vennis dominated for awhile, working Flaco both in and other of the ring. Out of nowhere Flaco hit the Flac Bottom and locked on the Mafia Lock. LaRocca got onto the apron and Flaco ended up shoving Vennis into him and then rolling Vennis up for the win. Fifth Match: Seito Hayashi and Vinny Massaro defeated Luster the Legend and Pogo the Clown (w/ Shane Dynasty) to retain the SPW Tag Titles Vinny and Pogo started things off. Vinny tried some shoulder tackles, to no avail, went for a crossbody, but Pogo caught him and hit a fallaway slam. Luster tagged in and put the boot to Vinny. Hayashi came in and Pogo and Luster took turns beating on him. The Rejected beat on Hayashi for awhile. During the beat down Vinny got involved and Luster went to kick him, but caught Pogo instead. Pogo responded by Clotheslining Luster, which allowed Vinny to pin him for the win. Sir Samurai came out and announced that there was nobody for him to wrestle so he was going to hype the upcoming shows he and his tag team would be appearing on (UWA, BRAWL, and MWF). Before he could leave El Flaco Loco came out and said he had an opponent for Samurai.... El Chupacabra. Sixth Match: El Chupacabra defeated Sir Samurai Samurai tried to point out that it was actually Ugly in a mask... but nobody believed him. Chupa quickly went to town on Samurai, working the hair a great deal. Samurai escaped from the ring, only to be caught and hit in the groin with two chairs. Back in the ring Chupa continued to work Samurai over. Finally Samurai back bodydropped Chupa over the ropes so the Honor Society could attack him. Back in the ring Samurai was able to lock on the Gaijin Grip, but Chupa rolled it into a pin. Chupa locked something on him, which brought the Honor Society to the apron, he went after them, ripped their tops off, and chopped them into next week. They kept trying to escape so Samurai tried to help them, he took two chops, went and rang the bell himself and awarded the match to his opponent. Seventh Match: Rik Luxury, Steel, and Kafu defeated Bonzai Bruce Bukkake, Virgil Flynn, and El Hijo De Chupacabra when Rik pinned Bruce Before the match Rik introduced APW wrestler Kafu to be their third member. Really fast start with everybody seeing action in the first minute. El Hijo hit a really nice Code Red on Rik, which got a nice response from the crowd, but no more than a two count. As the action continued Kafu showed that he could easily find a spot on the SPW roster as he is big, but quick. Hijo got him, though countering a sunset flip with a Shocker. As Champions Unlimted took over they had lots of fast tags on Hijo, taking turns working him over. Finally Hijo tagged Virgil in but Virgil got clotheslined inside out by Steel. El Hijo hit Rik with the Spanish Fly, but got cut off by Kafu. This led to a nice series of moves that ended with Rik hitting Bruce with a top rope leg drog for the win. After the match Bruce and El Hijo argued. Main Event: Old School Oliver John fought the Trendsetter Adam Thornstowe to a time limit draw El Flaco Loco was the guest ref for this one. After taking a nice chop Adam went for a bit of a walk. He then took his time getting back into the ring, but Flaco had no intention of counting Adam out. Adam returned the ring, they wrestled a bit, Oliver hit another chop, Adam took another walk. Back in the ring Oliver went to work on Adams arm, though Adam never quit fighting. The action spilled out of the ring and Oliver lit Adam up with the chops and hit a verticle suplex on the floor. Back in the ring Oliver missed a huge Elbow Drop off the corner and Adam locked on the Sharpshooter and then hit the Curbstomp. Oliver took back over, until going for a Frogsplash and Adam blocked it. At about the fifteen minute mark Adam hit a nice tope onto Oliver. Adam hit a huge Frogsplash, but hurt himself as well. With less than a minute to go Oliver hit a Liger Bomb, but Adam kicked out. Oliver hit Adam with a big superplex right as time expired, giving us a time limit draw.
