Posted by SPW on 2/6/2006, 10:13 am HARDCORE SUPER 8 and the return to the Colonial Theatre The show started off with the Big Ugly JD Bishop and El Flaco Loco coming to the ring. Ugly announced that due to injury Dante had no choice but to hang up his wrestling boots and that on February 12, at St. Peter's Hall, SPW would say thank you to Dante for everything he has done. HARDCORE SUPER 8 FIRST ROUND MATCH: Bonzai Bruce Bukkake defeated Ridiculous Mike Rayne in a Coney Island Street Fight This match was a Lumberjack Match in which all the lumberjacks were armed with chains. Mike and Bruce started off with some back and forth, hold for hold action with neither man able to take the early advantage. Bruce took over by Huricaraning Rayne from the ring, where everybody worked him over. Bruce grew bored and hit a springboard moonsault over the top rope into the lumberjacks. When they returned to the ring Rayne brought a chain with him, which allowed him to take over. Bruce was able to take over and he again tossed Rayne from the ring. Later Mike went for a Springboard legdrop and Bruce caught him with a wicked forearm... with his forearm wrapped with the chain. Bruce finished him off with a White Dragon and a White Swallow Press to advance in the tournament. HARDCORE SUPER 8 FIRST ROUND MATCH: Vinny Massaro defeated Luster the Legend in a Special Weapons Match Luster's weapon was a stable gun and Vinnys was a string or barbed wire. Luster's weapon came into play quickly, but neither man was actually able to use it, at first, until the action spilled out of the ring and Luster was able to stable Vinny's shirt to his back. Vinny stole the stabler and returned the favor, big time. Back in the ring, Vinny stayed in charge, putting a few staples into Luster's head. Vinny brought the barbed wire into play, only to take a superplex onto it. Vinny upped it a bit, using the stable gun on Luster's little legend (if you know what I mean). Luster was able to keep going (I have no idea how). Vinny got the win, choking Luster out with the Barbed Wire. After the match the Honor Society came to the ring and Samurai said that he felt it unjust that for the first time in his career, he did not have a match on an SPW show. He said he had a plan, though, and would make an impact by the end of the night. HARDCORE SUPER 8 FIRST ROUND MATCH: Bulldog Brian Raymond defeated Rik Luxury in a Bed of Barbed Wire Match The match started with Rik doing everything he could to stay away from both Bulldog and the table covered in mouse traps. When Bulldog got his hands on him he quickly tried to get the pin, to no avail as the match would only end when one of them landed in the mouse traps. The fight went outside the ring where Bulldog tossed Rik into the stage and then into the ring post. When getting up Rik accidently put his hand on the table and got snapped by a mouse trap. The action went back and forth between the two men and the floor and the ring. Rik went to dive out of the ring into Bulldog, but Bulldog cut him off with a chair to the head. Bulldog grabbed Rik, out from the chair shot, and powerbombed him through the table and thus got the win and advanced. HARDCORE SUPER 8 FIRST ROUND MATCH: The Big Ugly JD Bishop defeated El Hijo De Chupacabra in a First Blood Match The two men went after eachother right from the start with Ugly getting the advantage with a series of knife edge chops. Ugly brought a chair and kendo stick into the ring. Hijo set the chair up in a corner (between second and top rop) and drop kicked Ugly's head into it. At the end of the match the ref got knocked out and each man went for a weapon. Ugly grabbed a Kendo Stick and Hijo grabbed a chair. They nailed each other at the same time, both drawing blood. A second ref came out and confired with Commissioner Randy, who was watching from the stage. Randy ordered the match to continue until one man was able to get the pinfall. About a minute later the Big Ugly hit the Internet Mark and got the win. After Ugly got the win, two of his students (Seito Hayashi and Virgil Flynn) came to the ring. Hayashi said that they wanted to step it up and earn Ugly's respect. He gave them that chance... and told them to take their shows off they were going to have barefooted thumbtack match. Ugly called for some fans to come to ring side. To some of them he gave cups full of tacks, with the agreement being that each would toss a cup into the ring whenever he said "now." To make things interesting he also brought into play a pan with lemons in it and a pan with rubbing alcohol in it. . Seito Hayashi defeated Virgil Flynn in a Barefoot Thumbtack Match Ugly let the match go for about 30 seconds before ordering the first three cups tossed into the ring. Virgil quickly took over and bodyslammed Hayashi into the tacks. Virgil went for a moonsault, but Hayashi missed... giving them the first holy sh!t chant of the match. Moments lader Hayashi went for a Quesador, but Virgil face jammed him into the mat. A bit later Hayashi went for a suicide dive and Virgil caught him with a chair to the face. Virgil grabbed the lemons and squeezed some juice onto the tack wounds. He then stomped a lemon into Hayashi back, and followed that up by hitting him with the pan. At that Ugly called for the next three cups of tacks to be tossed in. The second holy s4it chant came when Hayashi went for a double foot stomp and missed Virgil, but found a lot of tacks. Virgil hit is Suwa Kick, knocking Hayashi from the ring. Virgil went for an Asai Moonsault, only to have Hayashi nail him with a chair on his way down. Hayashi tossed Virgil back into the ring and tapped him out with a Dragon Clutch. Hell of a match. After the match Ugly said that if they were the future of hardcore in Nor Cal the future looked good.... and then Shane through the rubbing alcohol onto their feet.
