Church routines and traditions do NOT a relationship make. I'm talking a walk with me everywhere and be involved in everthing I do kind of relationship.
America is changing, for the worse, at an alarming rate. People have become hostile, p.c. and sexually impure. Good is bad and the unthinkable is acceptable. We are suffering from a sagging foundation.
When our foundation is crumbling and we no longer honor truth and compassion, we find ourselves in a moral free fall without a bottom in sight.
The apostle Paul decribes, in the first chapter of Romans, what happens when a country turns its back on its national morals and foundation of christian values.
They start out knowing God.
They no longer respect God or thank Him for their many blessings.
They turn from His law and wisdom, instead seeing their own judgement as superior.
They then deify mankind.
They deify animals and nature and serve the creatures and enviroment instead of God.
Lust becomes central to their entire thinking (I see this endlessly in movies, tv shows and commercials).
Homosexuality becomes rampant and is held up as the ideal.
When societies sink down this low they are: full of greed, deceitful, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, disobedient to parents, inventors of evil and full of anger, strife and murder.
I don't know about the rest of you but that list sounds like the news each evening.
We need to get back to our first love. We, who call ourselves christians, need to have a REAL and vibrant RELATIONSHIP with Jesus.
Jesus should be our overwhelming passion and love. He should be who we start our day with and who we speak with last before we close our eyes and fall asleep.
America needs to fall to her knees and repent. She needs to return to her first love to again be the great nation we were destined to be.
God bless.
