Amen....Well said and written!!!
I am a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and I do believe that He does in fact provide!! I do believe and have faith in the fact that the word of God is free and will always be free. When I was called into service as a servant of the Lord and this ministry....The Lord our God laid upon my heart to take no money upon my belt from the people....those that I help, assist and minister to.
The scripture that are emblazoned on my heart are:
Mark 6:8 (NASB)and He instructed them that they should take nothing for their journey, except a mere staff—no bread, no [a]bag, no money in their belt
Luke 9:3(NASB)
And He said to them, “Take nothing for your journey, neither a staff, nor a [a]bag, nor bread, nor money
Luke 10:4-12(NASB)
4 Carry no money belt, no [a]bag, no shoes; and greet no one on the way. 5 Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house.’ 6 If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you. 7 Stay in [c]that house, eating and drinking [d]what they give you; for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not keep moving from house to house. 8 Whatever city you enter and they receive you, eat what is set before you; 9 and heal those in it who are sick, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ 10 But whatever city you enter and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say, 11 ‘Even the dust of your city which clings to our feet we wipe off in protest against you; yet [e]be sure of this, that the kingdom of God has come near.’ 12 I say to you, it will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom than for that city.
Luke 22:35 (NASB)
35 And He said to them, “When I sent you out without money belt and bag and sandals, you did not lack anything, did you?” They said, “No, nothing.”
We are living in New Testament times and we willingly wait for the Lord Jesus's glorious return.
Nowhere in These scriptures did Jesus ask us to be beggars and to repeatedly ask and bleed money from His children....
If we are faithful, obedient and doing His work as we were called to do...He will provide and we will be blessed. We will receive the gift and blessings that He has promised us and as per His will.
The key to receiving His Blessings and gifts is to be willing to receive through obedience and faith. Plainly: remain true to him and your calling, Do His will and minister as per your calling. When this is done faithfully and obediently....The provisions will come in the form of Blessings and Gifts...abundantly as promised and the congregation...His church will prosper and grow....no begging is necessary....
