I notice from their website that we have one "member" in common (Ron, and we don't really have members any more per se, since we're just a group of people who get together for movies and meals and such...), but other than that, nope, just another group. We've been pretty much the same core group of people since 1995, while the Meetup group apparently started in 2002. Interesting stuff! ^_^ Speaking of which, unless the money fairy graces me with her presence by this afternoon, there isn't going to be a dinner this month. We did all go out to see Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (announced on our livejournal site...) and Shaun of the Dead (sadly, not really announced that heavily, since it was a last minute thing...). We're still planning a trip to see Ghost in the Shell: Innocence, but again, waiting on that money fairy to show up. ^_^; Chris (aka Crynosys) is planning a trip to the Texas Rennaissance Festival soon.
