" True, but without a place in town to meet that we can afford on a monthly basis, we're kinda screwed on that. I literally can't afford the hit anymore (comic industry is in a big old recession, so I is po' these days...) and the time constraints are also killing me. (Plus, all the helper bees we have now have serious jobs. We've all grown up and have responsibilities now, kinda harsh...) The library has just been rendered obsolete as well, so we're going to disperse it to the club members and hangers-on, as that is the only fair way to do things. ^_^ The club is simply morphing into a new form, more social and less aimed around staring at a TV for ten hours. ^_^ It will be much more of an event-based situation, with more movie viewings, more restaurant visits, more trips to Austin (for movie viewings and the like), more barbecues and movie-night or videogame parties (provided we can come up with people who have the space for such things at their places, sadly our apartment is really small and crowded...)- it's just matured into more of an organized monthly hanging-out-situation. On a forum I'm on, they call them "meet-ups", "eat-ups" and "drink-ups"- though we probably won't have the drink-ups. ^_~ We still love hanging out with everyone, so we want to maintain the club as a social binder yo draw people who love anime, manga, videogames, comics and movies together. I hope that explains some of it to everyone. And yeah, that's basically the big announcement for the club. ^_^; --Elin
