: I just found out that I need a hip replacement at age 38. I am very active, (i.e. I run, and land single jumps on my right hip, "which is my good hip!" I have been advised not to land those small tiny hops on one foot or run. I am devastated and wonder what others think about this? I will not skate or run often and certaily not for a long time but what do others think based on their experiences and advice from doctors!
