On the back of this year's World Figure Skating Championships in Tokyo, I played the video of your spellbinding, gold medal winning perfomance, at the U.S. National Championships of 1996 in San Jose, one of the most exciting programmes I have ever been privileged to witness. It still sends shivers down my spine. Thank you for your wonderful legacy and the sheer joy you have brought me through your beautiful, gifted skating.
